Introduction to Ben Hogan Golf Cards

Welcome to the Ben Hogan Golf Card site. This site is about the sports (trading) cards that have a connection to Ben Hogan. This site will be updated as old cards / information surface and new cards / information are issued.

The history of Ben Hogan golf cards goes back 76 years, with his first card appearing in the 1949 set "Sports Champions" from the Exhibit Supply Company of Chicago. As you can see from the Year To Year page, from 1949 through 1999 only 66 BH cards were issued. Since the turn of the century, there have been over 430 BH cards produced.

In the mid/later part of the 1990's and into the early 2000's, there were some new companies and new product introduced to the collecting universe which contained Ben Hogan cards. During this time period and up to the present time, there were many "custom-made" Hogan cards hitting the market. Many cards used hand drawings and some made use of actual pictures of Mr. Hogan. Several card sets with Ben Hogan cards are from the United Kingdom.

As of March 13, 2026, I have 499 entries in my Ben Hogan golf card database.

I have 291 of the 498 BH cards in my personal collection.

This site was not made to be fancy in any way what-so-ever. It is just straight forward in its presentation and information. It is here to help fellow Ben Hogan golf card collectors in their search to add to their collection.
